The chief purpose of The Daniel P. Amos Family Foundation is to glorify God and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, by supporting charitable and community organizations in their mission to improve the community.

The Amos Family Foundation was created for the purpose of making philanthropic donations to any charitable organization the Trustees deem appropriate. The mission statement of The Amos Family Foundation is broad and can be changed. The Foundation’s mission statement reads that it will donate to organizations that “improve mankind’s condition.” The Amos Family Foundation Trustees are encouraged to include Christian organizations in their distributions.

Priorities

The Daniel P. Amos Family Foundation will consider requests from organizations that are in the following categories. However, the Board is not limited by these criteria.

Geographic Area of Grant Focus

The Amos Family Foundation makes grants primarily in the Columbus, Georgia, Metro Atlanta, and the immediately surrounding counties.

 

Priorities & Restrictions

Amos Family Foundation makes charitable grants only to 501(c)3 organizations as classified by the IRS Code of 1986ff.

Amos Family Foundation does not make grants to organizations headquartered outside the United States.

Amos Family Foundation does not make loans to individuals or to organizations.

Amos Family Foundation does not give to social clubs or booster organizations.

Amos Family Foundation does not give to political or legislative advocacy groups or organizations.   

Amos Family Foundation generally does not give to endowments.

Amos Family Foundation does not make grants for the purpose of paying previously incurred Amos Family Foundation generally does not give for festivals or conferences debt.

Amos Family Foundation may give, resulting in naming opportunities and public recognition of the gift.
